The Embassy of Canada, the Embassy of France in Thailand and QueerMango are proud to launch #JoinTeamRainbow social media campaign.

We strongly believe that the human rights of all persons are universal and indivisible, and these include the human rights of LGBTIQ+ persons. That’s why we want to raise awareness for a more inclusive society that says no to any discrimination against people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer in Thailand.

This is particularly important during the June 2016 Pride Month, as it comes right after IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia) and before the second edition of the Bangkok Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

Help us celebrating the Pride Month in Thailand and say no to discrimination and violence against LGBTQI+ persons by sharing pictures about your beautiful uniqueness with #JoinTeamRainbow

The Embassy of Canada and the Embassy of France in Thailand have partnered with QueerMango for this media campaign to help bring an end to violence and discrimination against people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex.

The campaign is also part of the Embassy of Canada’s project aimed to adopt policies and programs tailored to local needs and circumstances, while finding innovative solutions for challenges around the world. The Canadian Government has put in place various programs and policies to protect the rights of LGBTIQ+ persons, respond to social inequities, and tackle discrimination.

As for France, which is fully mobilized, within the United nations as well as at a bilateral level, to fight against all sorts of discriminations or Human rights violation against LGBTI individuals. The Fund for Human Rights, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, also known as the LGBTI Fund was created in 2009 at the instigation of France during the world congress on human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity, with a view to supporting actions worldwide for the achievement of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of people discriminated against on grounds of their sexual orientation and their gender identity and/or gender expression.
